Re-election of Barack Obama would hand over the future to those that punish with death the worship of any God whose “prophet” is not Mohammad

An open mike in Seoul revealed a re-elected President Obama poised to gut Reagan’s missile defense that reduced the evil Soviet Union empire to the borders of Vladimir Putin’s Russia, but hasn’t his pre-election “flexibility”, including the moral equivalence between Holocaust-deniers and those that “slander” the “Prophet of Islam” enunciated yesterday at the United Nations, already inflicted irreparable harm on U.S. national security?

The U.S. Navy of the post-WWII past has secured free trade prosperity for much of the world and Liberty from Taipei to Tbilisi. Obama proposes a reduction below the 313-ship fleet considered the absolute minimum needed by the last Chief of Naval Operations, just as a China awash in U.S. dollars engages in a massive buildup of forces in the Asian Pacific.

No president could have fixed the inherited mess in just four years and this President wants to stay inside Washington where, by his own admission, he can’t fix it? See also private sector, that didn’t build itself, is doing fine.

The story should have been the courage of Daniel aka Paul Ryan to venture into the Lion’s Den aka AARP aka just another faction of the Democratic Party mob. Instead, the faction of the Dem Party mob known as the Mainstream Press spun the story as more “evidence” that the Romney/Ryan ticket has alienated senior citizens on their way to sure defeat against the Obama/Biden ticket on Election Day 2012:

Republican vice presidential nominee, Rep. Paul Ryan, R-Wis., was booed Friday at the AARP convention in New Orleans for advocating the repeal of President Obama’s Affordable Care Act.

You have just read the entire CBS News website “coverage” of the Ryan speech. Reminds of election seasons past when September presidents Mondale and Dukakis dispatched Reagan and Bush41 and Carter was re-elected to a second term with the Middle East ablaze.

Obama swore second oath to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of Arab Street Sensibilities?

The Obama Administration enlisted Los Angeles County deputies to arrest a private film maker in the wee hours of Saturday morning, essentially re-enacting the Sedition Act of 1918 via executive fiat:

Just after midnight Saturday morning, authorities descended on the Cerritos [California] home of the man believed to be the filmmaker behind the anti-Muslim movie that has sparked protests and rioting in the Muslim world.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies escorted a man believed to be Nakoula Basseley Nakoula to an awaiting car. The man declined to answer questions on his way out and wore a hat and a scarf over his face. He kept his hands in the pockets of a winter coat.

Sheriff’s officials could not be reached by The Times, but department spokesman Steve Whitmore told KNBC News that deputies assisting the federal probation department took Nakoula to the sheriff’s substation in Cerritos for interviewing.

Has anyone else across the Fruited Plain ever uttered or published anything that the Arab Street might deem offensive? How about those Christians who proclaim Christ the Way, the Truth and the Life this morning? And how would an after midnight rousting of the Rev. Billy Graham from his bed be explained by the Administration if a mob in Jakarta  on Monday seizes upon a crusade sermon to justify killing or merely raping Americans in Indonesia? Especially in light of:

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who once noted that Syria’s murderous Bashar Assad was, in the opinion of some, a “reformer,” issued her own statement filled with moral equivalence.

“The United States deplores any intentional effort to denigrate the religious beliefs of others,” she said. “But let me be clear: There is never any justification for violent acts of this kind.”

Who arrests President Barack Obama if tomorrow, a Muslim mob blames the President for inciting a riot via his “murder” of Osama bin Laden or for his spiking of the football as offensive to Allah?

Who arrested Stalin?

What happened to President Obama when a federal judge found him in contempt of a court order lifting the deep-water Gulf  oil-drilling moratorium? What happened to the nation’s Chief Magistrate when he waived bankruptcy laws against the rights of GM bondholders? Did anyone reverse Obama’s unilateral declaration of amnesty for illegals?

Nothing, nothing and no one; and Congress seems to be busy making no law abridging Arab Street speech.

Only We the People can restore free speech and the Rule of Law in America. On Election Day (or via early voting), elect Romney/Ryan.

Yes, Osama bin Laden was killed under President Barack Obama’s watch, but does anyone think his presence as Commander-in-Chief deters any terrorist organization, state terror sponsors or even Russia?

As he was leaning toward Medvedev in Seoul, Obama was overheard asking for time – “particularly with missile defense” – until he is in a better position politically to resolve such issues.

“I understand your message about space,” replied Medvedev, who will hand over the presidency to Putin in May.

“This is my last election … After my election I have more flexibility,” Obama said, expressing confidence that he would win a second term.

“I will transmit this information to Vladimir,” said Medvedev, Putin’s protégé and long considered number two in Moscow’s power structure.

We miss our loved ones that died of natural causes before that Day and we well remember The Day America’s idyllic vacation from history ended as seminal even as we suffer under economic depression.

Many can’t afford Le Seuer peas, but this generic brand consumer still loves life and thanks God for the Texan that kept more alive when murderous Islamist evil visited our shores. In the wake of the Towers’ fall, the memory of Gore-ish multiple personalities faded for a time, as even Democrats saw the need for Daddy.

I guess the private sector was doing fine then too, since the poor got to hear periodic fireside chats on the latest anti-business experiment

Last night during his indoor speech accepting the presidential nomination of the Democratic Party in Charlotte, we finally got the non-Hope & Change truth from Barack Obama:

And the truth is, it will take more than a few years for us to solve challenges that have built up over decades. It will require common effort, shared responsibility, and the kind of bold, persistent experimentation that Franklin Roosevelt pursued during the only crisis worse than this one.

First former Democrat President Bill Clinton, and now, current Democrat President Barack Obama tell us it turns out it was impossible for any president’s policies to restore the economy to an acceptable level in “just” 3-4 years. Never mind Obama’s promises that the Stimulus bill would prevent unemployment from ever reaching 8%. He discovered only later that the matters were worse than he thought before his Inauguration.

America has never been a “you’re on your own, winner take all” society

By most accounts, former President Bill Clinton delivered a rousing speech last night in Charlotte nominating President Barack Obama for re-election at the Democratic National Convention. Clinton summed up the choice Americans will face on Election Day, thusly:

“The most important question is, what kind of country do you want to live in? If you want a you’re-on-your-own, winner-take-all society, you should support the Republican ticket. If you want a country of shared prosperity and shared responsibility — a we’re-all-in-this-together society — you should vote for Barack Obama and Joe Biden.”

Sound familiar? It should, because its the same Big Lie that Democrats have espoused about Republicans for all of my sentient life, and for decades before. Yet, despite similar warnings of the venal intent of the Party of Lincoln, the Welfare State remains securely intact despite long periods of Republican control of the federal government. Moreover, you will search the GOP Party Platform as well as the speeches, votes, and policy actions of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan in vain for any evidence that they favor any significant weakening of the federal safety net for the truly needy, much less a “you’re on your own, winner take all society.”

But didn’t Democrat Obama inherit “the mess” from Republican Bush and haven’t congressional Republicans obstructed Obama’s recovery agenda?

This is how a Democratic Party, with no Gene McCarthy (pictured), feels compelled to frame re-election issues given a failed incumbent with no record of popular achievements to run on. At least LBJ declined to run and Ted Kennedy challenged Carter in 1980, but I digress.

It is apparent that the main message of this week’s Democratic National Convention from David Axelrod to Bill Clinton, and President Barack Obama himself, will not be to ask Americans if they are better off than they were four years ago. Too few can answer that Reaganesque inquiry in the affirmative. Instead, President Obama will insist that he inherited a crisis solely of the Republicans’ making, single-handedly prevented a second Great Depression, was prevented from implementing Democratic policies that would foster a robust recovery by the Republicans; and that Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and Republicans generally are rich, racists, sexists, bigots and homophobes that don’t care about Medicare, the elderly, the disabled and the poor.

George Will recently described Obama’s message as a perpetual alibi, since he was the first Chief Executive to inherit an imperfect world. But what exactly did the 44th President of the United States inherit, and from whom?

It hurts this proud son and grandson of former Brotherhood Railway Carmen (TCU) union members, and me their former union lawyer, to say this, especially given how I personally benefitted from the gains of that particular union, but I think Labor Day, as it has evolved, should be abolished.

I would be in favor of a new holiday commemorating a return of the right to labor (and most of the fruits thereof) in pursuit of happiness, after we defeat the ObamaDems and repeal the laws and regulations they have imposed on anyone that dares to create jobs not first approved of by the NLRB and EPA. Then again, such a celebration would be redundant given that we already celebrate Independence Day.

However, can anyone seriously argue that King George restricted our inalienable rights more than President Barack Obama and the Democrats? I think not.

The origins of Labor Day date back to the unique circumstances arising from the industrial revolution transition from an agrarian society and the labor union movement primarily in New York City and other large Northern cities in the 1880s. The movement was essentially an exercise of freedom by workers for large corporations to band together to maximize their economic clout. Most of the reforms obtained by the labor movement have been enacted into law and now apply to all workers, and have since the Hoover Administration agreed to sweeping legislation that forever assured workers of their inalienable rights of association in the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.
