I hate to think I'm right but because Santorum, Palin or even Newt could not win the Rebuplican nod tells me the Republicans have sold themselves out to the forces that control obama, his regime and party. Also there has been too much that obama did that should have been cause for impeachment proceedings but never saw the light of day - because those in real power are holding way too many strings. Do not forget that all those stimulus dollars, billions and billions of them, went to these string pullers, and they will see to it, or much more likely, have already seen to it, that America is doomed.

Like i said, I hope I'm wrong but the very fact that the media and everyone else still thinks that creep in highest office still has a semblance of a chance is enough for me to believe we've seen the last of what was left of democracy.

Yes! The Hillary reference was just a tease for the 2012-obsessed at Redstate.com! Obviously any President would have acted on this intel and it couldn't take "courage" unless we really water down the word. It did take courage for President Bush to stay the course during the Dems' "Bush Lied" Era. And yes, I am ashamed that I didn't have the courage to leave the loathsome Dem Party until 2000.

Mike.

You are usually a little bit clearer in the point you are making with your posts but this one seems a little muddled. What is your point. Are you defending Mitt, are you promoting Hilary as VP, are you belittling Bill, and are you…..well you are always bashing Obama.

I think what you are trying to say is Obama could have never accomplished this were it not for his predecessor GWB and some of the work he had done. You are very correct. But that is part of what makes this country great and why we have elections every four years. So that the incoming president can build on what was beneficial and change what was not. What president can say he did not benefit in some way from some of the deeds of his predecessor.

Indeed it appears water-boarding did indeed produce some valuable intel. But you are a lawyer come on “does the end justify the means”. When in court would you say its ok to rob a bank if you have to feed your kids. Oh but wait they changed the rules and said waterboarding was ok.

Like I said your point is a little muddled but maybe not because it is always your point to bash Obama or any democrat for that matter. Maybe this is some deep seeded identity dilemma you have with your democratic roots. You know some kind of self-hatred type thing. Just sayin.

Mike,

You know I am a simple man. I read Rush’s Rant and propaganda that he fed to that young man. As I say all of the time it’s a matter of perspective. And Rush’s is flawed. I will give you a couple of examples.

” That's why Michelle Obama is deigned to tell everybody what to eat, because they're not smart enough to figure out for themselves to eat the right things. “

First of all Michelle Obama is not passing any laws. She is however making recommendations.
It’s a proven fact that 80% of the diseases that burden the health system are diet related. Diabetes, obesity, heart disease, high blood pressure, and even some cancers all are related to diet. It’s proven that people who pay attention to their diet can avoid most of these diseases and have a smaller footprint on the health care system. Take me for instance, while I do enjoy the occasional burger, fried chicken and ribs I do pay attention to what and how I eat. I am almost 60 and I suffer from none of the diseases mentioned, take no prescriptions and have never spent a day in the hospital. I only go to the doctor for my yearly check-ups. Corporations have sold us on a preserved, fast food diet and it’s killing us. Maybe we aren’t smart enough.

“You are judged to be unable to help yourself. So we need affirmative action and other programs to help you out. “

Another statement with a flawed perspective. You see affirmative action was not put into place to help Black people. It was put into place to help Corporate America with their hiring practices. It is a given fact that the hiring practices of Corporate America was flawed. I can show you articles that show the insurance industry actually found they made more profit once they started hiring Black agents and stopped making it hard for Blacks to get insurance. This is a fact Mike and the same affect happened with a lot of other corporations. And if affirmative action goes away it would be just like removing a stop sign from a corner that showed a reduced accident rate after the stop sign was put into place. So my simple statement Blacks don’t need affirmative action, corporate America does.

“The left in this country, and the media, view slavery as this country's original sin, which, of course, you never get over, you never get over original sin. They don't want us to get over original sin.”

Oh how flawed is his perspective. While slavery may have been the original sin it was not the only or the greatest sin. Had slaves been freed and given complete American Citizen status then things would probably look a lot different. Slavery ended in 1865 three years later the 14th amendment was passed giving blacks citizenship but it was not until 1964 that the Civil Rights act was passed. That represents 100 years of “legislated discrimination”. This 100 years I believe to be a lot worse than the years of slavery before. At least during slavery you were being told the truth, you were a slave and you weren’t free. It’s the 100 years of the lie of you are free when you really weren’t. That’s where the real sin was committed. And If everything is so equal now then why not just get rid of the Civil Rights Act. You see the civil rights act was not put into place to help black people, it was put into place to help whites understand blacks had the same rights under the constitution as they did.

Perspective it’s all about perspective.

PS

In no way am I claiming to be a victim and this is the greatest country in the world. Just giving you my perspective.
