President Obama’s Democratic Party-owned weakness makes wars more likely, frequent and deadly. Appeasement increases the likelihood that more vets will also need to be remembered on Memorial Days.
Ninety-five years ago today, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, an armistice ended the War to End All Wars. Or so the world hoped. Sadly, a German people, protected by the ceasefire from fully experiencing in their homeland the havoc they had wrecked upon their neighbors, would follow Adolph Hitler Continue reading
The President still emphasizes the “credible threat of military action”, but does anyone think Obama won’t seize upon the Russia-Syria WMD proposal as the preferable way out of his red-line corner than congressional vote gambits?
Probably not, and given the character of the man Americans inexplicably re-hired to wield our nukes (and continue to wreck the economy), the Putin proposal that Assad turn over control of its chemical weapons to international monitors is likely the least-worse scenario to “resolve” President Obama’s Syrian debacle, given other likely options. Christians, Jews, women, and freedom-loving Muslims await compassion from liberal Democrats who have showered their love on the former Soviet Union, Viet Cong, Sandinistas, Fidel Castro, Yassir Arafat, ‘Reformer’ Assad, Iranian Mullahs, and Sharia-imposing Muslim Brotherhoods.
Poor Americans desiring full-time work for middle class wages would also appreciate some consideration from the food stamp, green energy, gay marriage, amnesty for illegals, Obamacare, contraceptive and race-obsessed re-elected president and his Democratic Party, but I digress.
This admittedly former neo-con, but still U.S. national security hawk, could be receptive to action by our armed forces in Syria to deter and secure weapons of mass destruction given a variety of circumstances and scenarios. After the non-WMD attacks on our American homeland nearly 12 years ago, we considered the removal of serial-WMD-user Saddam Hussein in Iraq, the degrading of Iran’s nuclear program, as well as the elimination of the safe haven-for-al-Qaeda-and-Taliban nation-state in Afghanistan to be post-9/11-imperatives for the U.S. and the Free World generally.
Thanks to the pre-surge ‘stay the course’ persistence of President George W. Bush, congressional Republicans and Democrat-turned-Independent-Senator Joe Lieberman, Iraq was liberated toward a purple-fingered Third Way and Core al Qaeda and the Taliban were decimated. Continue reading
Secretary of State Clinton failed to act on an August 16 cable from Libyan Ambassador Chris Stevens describing imminent danger and pleading for help in case of a coordinated attack by al Qaeda and Ansar al-Sharia from which they were not capable of defending against.
As First Lady, Hillary Clinton famously defended her known adulterous husband to protect their political partnership. Throughout the impeachment, President Bill Clinton’s defenders repeatedly told the nation not to worry, since it was “only about sex.” Of course, it was also about obstruction of justice, including perjury, in a sexual harassment lawsuit, but accountability is not the strong suit of the Democratic Party and its dependents; the latest example of which occurred on Election Day when epic failure to revive the economy was rewarded by economic dropouts, but I digress.
Appeasement of Iran, including abandonment of Iraq, leaves U.S. less safe under Obama despite killings of Osama bin Laden, al-Awlaki and Gadaffy.
We can’t kill all the bad guys, deterrence is paramount
America is obviously safer when terrorists are killed and President Barack Obama deserves credit for the high profile killings of terrorist leaders. Moreover, his statements in the aftermath of Navy Seals’ killing of bin Laden make clear that the answer to former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld’s most famous “snowflake” is that no, we did not create more terrorists than we killed under President George W. Bush. President Obama also deserves credit for breaking many campaign promises to undo many of the Bush Administration’s War on Terror polices that kept us safe after September 11, 2001.
But that we are safer the day after terrorists are killed than the day before is but a small part of the determination of relative safety under Obama since his inauguration. The relevant questions in that determination must address how safe we were under his predecessor and why; and an evaluation of all of President Obama’s policies and actions have altered the position of the United States and how those changes affect likely actions of our friends and enemies abroad.
It is especially critical to determine whether our most dangerous nation state enemies are more or less likely to take actions against the United States since Obama became Commander-in-Chief. America can’t kill all of its enemies and as long as evil lurks in the hearts of men and we have Earth’s superior military,we will be the target of megalomaniacs. Therefore, America must be feared by its enemies so that deadly actions are deterred.
Didn’t the serial Apologist-in-Chief just get finished trumping the birthers by authenticating his natural American born, eligible-to-be-President-of -the-United-States bona fides, or is that a different super man:
After recently undertaking a journey to walk — not fly — across the United States in the “Grounded” storyline and reconnect with the country and everyday Americans, Superman appears to be taking another step that could have major implications for his national identity: in Action Comics #900…
…Superman announces that he is going to give up his U.S. citizenship. Despite very literally being an alien immigrant, Superman has long been seen as a patriotic symbol of “truth, justice, and the American way,” from his embrace of traditional American ideals to the iconic red and blue of his costume.
Barack Hussein Obama II’s long-form birth certificate confirms my long-held view that the greatest threat to U.S. sovereignty are not assimilation-challenged, illegal Mexican immigrants, but rather, United States natural-born-liberal-Democrat citizens whether they trace their ancestors to the Mayflower or the Kansas wife of a Kenyan.
Consider the judgment of the gullible, yet naturally born to Illinois Republicans, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, with superiority-at-3am-to-Obama smarts, that Syria’s Bashar al-Assad is a “reformer.”

First, sporting antidotes to the Obama Recession at War
John Calipari, Kentucky’s junior college-transfer genius, prevailed over Ohio State upperclassmen in the defining game of the 2011 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. Clearly, the Wildcats will prevail in the Final Four, but will it be Arizona or Kentucky? Cockstradamus says…Arizona. (We picked the Buckeyes three months ago, and on our bracket, to win the national championship, before this loss.)
As a card-carrying member of the dead-tree media and USC alumnus, I have tri-annually received the Fighting Gamecocks’ baseball, football and men’s basketball media guides for the past two decades. I now hold in my hands memorialized proof of the end of the 1801 Chicken Curse.
For the first time, a media guide celebrates the previous year’s National Championship won by a Fighting Gamecock’s team. South Carolina defeated UCLA in last year’s College World Series. This weekend the now 4th-ranked Gamecocks lead the current #1-ranked Florida Gators, 1-0 in a crucial early-season 3-game SEC series.
When America bombs, the world is better off. Even as in Libya, when led by an incompetent Commander-in-Chief and an incoherent Administration
I miss President George W. Bush, The Decider. His deterrence bone fides were so well-understood after our 2003 invasion of Iraq, that Libya’s Colonel Gaddafy decided to unilaterally surrender his weapons of mass destruction program to the armed forces of the United States before they ever had to fire a shot. Not a peep was heard from Libya while The Cowboy slept in the White House.
Joe Biden warned us that international tests were coming when the young President became the resident. The tests have begun in earnest.
