“We turn the page…the shadow of crisis has passed and the state of the union is strong.” Before these lines, President Barack Hussein Obama recalled fifteen years of terror on our shores, wars and a vicious recession.
At least he went on to admit that it’s still a “hard time for many.” Yes, especially for Democrats whose Obama page turned them out of more House seats, the majority in the Senate and an overwhelming majority of state legislatures.
Sadly, hard times continue for the victims of the slowest so-called “recovery” since the Great Depression, many of whom no longer look for non-existent jobs and thus are not counted as “looking for work” in the increasingly irrelevant U-3 “official” unemployment rate, now at 5.6% and touted as evidence of the passing of a crisis “shadow”. Or does Chief Executive Obama still refer back to the post-housing-bust banking crisis that ended thanks to TARP, signed by President George W. Bush. Or does Commander in Chief Obama refer to the dearth of follow-on attacks on the homeland after 9/11, prevented by intel gathered at Gitmo via harsh interrogations and trained terrorists killed or captured in Iraq and Afghanistan that he opposed? The same Gitmo even Democrats would let him close but from which he releases sleeper cell agents that were poised for post-9/11 attacks on the Fruited Plain.Continue reading
