football coltsAdmission: It has become increasingly harder for this 2008 Housing-Bust-and-subsequent-Great-Recession-ravaged South Carolina Gamecock now roosted atop Stone Mountain of Georgia, to be thankful during the anemic so-called recovery brought to America by Obamanomics.

We don’t live on Wall Street, K Street or a fracking-good state. No, we continue to struggle with hunger games outside of the Capitol City with scribblings such as this dedicated to the proposition that all men and women are endowed by their Creator with the unalienable right to eventually understand how liberal Democratic Party policies fail all but well-connected cronies and Big Business sell-outs every time.

Yes, I’m a Jacksonian, tea partier conservative Republican. But mostly I’m just an average American trying to recover to the point that I can one day again afford Le Sueur-brand peas instead of having to settle for generic brands so I’ll have enough change left over to buy gasoline Continue reading

IranBut I’ll bet the Appeaser-in-Chief keeps this “you-can-keep-your-policy” promise unlike the one made to Americans under the domestic equivalent of the bomb, known as  Obamacare.

President Barack Obama is a serial liar but, like a stopped clock, occasionally also tells the truth. For instance, he promised skyrocketing energy prices. They set a record high in October. He promised to bankrupt the coal industry with new carbon emissions-standards. The war on coal is clearly on the offensive and in the direction of bankruptcy courts in West Virginia, Kentucky and Pennsylvania.

In Iraq and Afghanistan, he promised surrender. American troops have abandoned the former terrorist playground of Saddam Hussein with nary a footprint left behind; while President B. Hussein Obama has set a 2014 date-certain deadline for withdrawal in the former safe haven of al Qaeda and their Taliban hosts in Afghanistan.

Which brings us to the number one state-sponsor of terror on Earth since 1979, Continue reading

katniss everdeenKatniss Everdeen met some good folks in the fictitious Capitol City as a Hunger Games-to-the-death participant. And there are good people in America’s all-too-real capitol city of Washington.

But the problem with both is that as they bask in the glow of big government bubbles, they prohibit those whose labor and tax revenues support their conspicuous consumption from joining the economic prosperity party. And yes, if the liberal Obama Democrats stay in power for much longer, they will get around to ending even the fracking boom.

Meanwhile, the government-run craze of the past  century (interrupted only by brief conservative push-backs by Reagan and Newt) exploded exponentially with Obamacare, stimuli for government union employees, and wars war on coal and conservatives, respectively by the EPA and IRS; we witness many good people lobbying for what ought to be determined in a free Continue reading

LincolnKennedyOn today’s sesquicentennial of Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address and before Friday’s 50th anniversary of the assassination of JFK, Americans see their respective legacies betrayed by (mostly northern) liberal Democrats waging war against what Camelot’s Arthur and our Founding Fathers stood for.

Thanks to the courage and vision of President Abraham Lincoln and the Union troops that responded to his call to arms, the last best hope of man on earth survived the war of Southern aggression, violently launched against it first at Fort Sumter. The road to that survival began when Robert E. Lee’s Army of Norther Virginia was decimated by Union troops Continue reading

enda-300x150The Liar-in-Chief is exposed as his signature Obamacare implodes and 720,000 drop out of the workforce in one month.

Insurance policy cancellations and security lapses at HealthCare.gov(when potential victims of identity theft can get the website to “work”) have interrupted the body politic long enough. Time for Democrats to roll out their favorite pets to distract Americans from serial failures while branding Republicans as heartless bigots. The only questions are Continue reading

WTC-9-11-ATTACK2President Obama’s Democratic Party-owned weakness makes wars more  likely, frequent and deadly. Appeasement increases the likelihood that more vets will also need to be remembered on Memorial Days.

Ninety-five years ago today, at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month, an armistice ended the War to End All Wars. Or so the world hoped. Sadly, a German people, protected by the ceasefire from fully experiencing in their homeland the havoc they had wrecked upon their neighbors, would follow Adolph Hitler Continue reading

empty walletThere is more than one way to skin cats and bankrupt private insurance companies.

That President Obama lied when he guaranteed Americans they could keep insurance policies they liked is a metaphysical certitude.

What is supernatural is just how many ways he lied.

From James Taranto, WSJ’s Continue reading

Next time a liberal Democrat justifies Obamacare as a better alternative than private insurance companies, remind them of sovereign immunity.

Before King Obama and his Royal Court of congressional Democrats passed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, prospective patients weren’t forced enter into contracts with private health insurance companies they didn’t trust. But if they did enter into a contract with a non-government company of any kind, they could sue for monetary damages for false advertising that induced them into the contract and for breach of the contract if the company didn’t abide by it’s terms.
