At least I know with soap operas they’re fake but I can’t handle any more fake news.

Free Republic has uncovered something I suspected but hadn’t looked into yet.

Folks, I can’t say enough: The media is not your friend. They lie as easily as breathing.

We have an opportunity to do something great this election. If you’re really sick of politics as usual in Washington and your respective states, move away from the media soundbytes and really dig into the candidates’ histories and decide for yourself. Don’t let the media choose the next president or even your local mayor. If you really want change, then make a change in how you decide for whom to vote.

Use this site and fact check everything that is said in debates, in political ads, and anywhere else. This site is also linked on the left sidebar and has been for awhile. I don’t remember who said it but it’s been making the internet rounds: “Anyone who lies to get a job will lie on the job.”

Here’s another great expose on Luntz’s focus group.

I repeat: The media is not your friend.

Update: Michelle Malkin has picked up on this and added some input.
