Vision, Mission, and Strategy
First, use some common sense.
This article highlights the stupidity with which we Americans are credited. These people haven’t done anything wrong that hurts the American people. In fact, from the article, it tells of a couple who are valuable assets in their community. Okay, so they got married after they applied for visas. Who cares? Not me.
They aren’t using fake social security cards, falsifying their identities , or any other crime in order to receive gainful employment or to receive government entitlements. Yet, the proponents of illegal immigration will use this article to bash those of us against illegal immigration to further tar us as racists and bigots. Ugh!!!!!!!!
Hi Steph,
Love your blog, wow did you ever do something wonderful with your blog, congratulations.
Can you send me an Email again, my system crashed on me last Friday night and I had to reinstall everything all over again.
Thanks my friend,
Phil
P.S. Love how fantastic your blog looks.
Steph, can you get trackbacks???? I’m not finding the link…lol, it must be Monday.
I don’t have anything special set up for trackback urls. It will trackback if you link directly to the article.
Phil, I’ll shoot you an email tomorrow. Got a little busy today.
Not really, but we could use this to show how sometimes rules should be flexible to accomodate different situations.
…which is partially why we might like to legalize undocumented yet hard working workers…
anonymous coward, so it does not bother you that American citizens ARE NOT EVEN OFFERED these jobs…
Depends on the jobs, but yeah it bothers me, but then again our economy and system is built around the inclusion of these people. To some degree, we benefit from the work they are putting in.
(To some degree = because we have to account for not just the work they put in and the salary the generate but also for things like the costs on schools, healthcare, the money they spend over here, etc.)
I am all for comprehensive immigration reform (fix our leaky borders, punish employers that hire these people, give amnesty to the ones here, ensure that all jobs have decent working conditions, etc.) but I don’t want to just hit on the heads of the undocumented worker because it’s an easy target.
(Disclaimer: when illegal immigrant start to work as white collar workers, I might change my tune…)
A fact you highlighted so beautifully, considering you picked a post that is well over a year old, and nothing you said is applicable to the post.
well I was making a statement due to the ignorant peoples comments….not because of what was posted!!
maybe if i saw it a year ago i would have said something then to..
Okay, let’s take what you did say and look at it:
Would they? If that’s so, why are they here stealing jobs from Americans. So what you’re saying is they’ll take Amercian jobs, rarely pay taxes (paying in doesn’t count if you get them all back which they do plus EIC), use our social services and all we get in return is a shirt? Does that about sum it up?
Does it make you better persons to have a bunch of killers living next door to you. This happen to me recently, a retribution hit, and the perps lived here in our used to be quiet neighborhood. I suppose I can count myself lucky that our house wasn’t shot up and halfway destroyed in the stupidity.
Yes, they are human and if their families are being torn apart because of ignorant people why aren’t they fixing their own country instead of running here? And not only do they run here they expect so many concessions because of their status it’s unreal. They don’t live by our laws but skirt around them and keep skirting around them. Let one of us citizens try half the stuff the illegals try and we’d be in jail for life.
Where’s the equality in that?
