And I don’t mean just the ones who committed it but the others as well. I suppose it’s easier to get away with when you’re Congress, right?

Article. III., Section. 3 of the Constitution states:  Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort(emphasis mine).  No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

Not one elected official came forward and told them that their nonbinding resolution was treason; not one. Regardless of whether it was nonbinding or binding, it was treason because it served the purpose of giving and aid and comfort to the enemy. All around the world, the enemies of the United States rejoiced. Just as they read and listen to our news, we read and listen to theirs. What else more needs to be said?
