McCain aims to unite, re-energize, reach out
He starts by lying; to himself and everyone else.
[...] “The problem in my party to a large degree is not over my record as much as it is (that) we let spending get out of control,” McCain said. “It dispirited our base, and it led to corruption. We have former members of Congress now residing in federal prison,” he said. [...] Read the rest.
Senator McCain, and I use the term loosely considering how many votes you’ve missed while receiving the salary for said office, repeating a lie often makes it no more truer than the first time you uttered it. It is your record. If you don’t understand that by now, you never will. Not very bright, are you?

Where was McCain during the last 7 years, I would love to know. The few good things he did (say vote against the tax cut or against torture) he seemed to have backtracked on…

Seems like McCain will be the only game in town for you folks on the right. I can sense the frustration…

Thank you for again pointing out the “issue” with McCain.
I believe the man has lost himself in the “grey”.

I’m not frustrated anymore, BB. Government can do what it wants to do but that won’t change conservatism because conservatism is not a political party. It’s a way of life. The Republican party once appealed to conservatives because of their stances on limited government interference. They lost that appeal with a series of successively worse party nominees.
My purpose with the McCain articles is: If you know what a man’s done and how he projects what he’s done, you can be better prepared for what he’s going to do in the future. Republicans thought they could control G.W. big government solutions and domestic policies and they failed abyssmally. How,they expect us to believe they can rein in the “Maverick” is beyond me when they couldn’t control a “compassionate” conservative like G.W.
Forwarned is forearmed. I can minimize the damage to my family’s and my lives if I keep reminding myself what we’re in for.

People oughta realize by now that if you beg a newspaper not to print a story it’s a surefire way of insuring they do.
