I really agree with you. The media clearly loves to inject spin in particular story to fit their narrative. I think Frank Luntz is an easy target, but there are others as well. You definitely always want to ask yourself: “what is going on outside the box? what is it that I am NOT seeing?”

I don’t know if full disclosure would do a lot of good right now, Kathy, but they can try.

Remember the yellow journalism post I wrote? The media always has the most power in any election because we’re dependent upon them to get the information. The internet is changing that but not enough fast enough.

Nice catch, BB, I think full disclosure would be the best recourse for FOX at this point.

Steph I agree that the media has it’s own agenda and it’s frustrating to democracy. Agenda driven/agenda hidden media is stinking up the process and it’s time we as a country acknowledge that a huge part of the brokenness of our government is due to the failed diligence of our media.

IMHO, focus groups suffer the usual problems of group dynamics…the loudest ain’t necessarily the rightest.
