Hi Steph,
How are you doing, I thought that I would stop by and offer a friendly smile and to see how my friend Steph is doing.
In regards to your post, I had a question for you All that’s required of you is a willing suspension of disbelief?
Isn’t that what is called a Double Negative?
Just curious because I always thought that in reality it should be worded. All that’s required of you is a willing suspension of belief?
I guess our friend Christi will be gone until the middle of next week sometime so I thought that I would come by and see you a little more often? Aren’t you happy about that? LOL

Phil, those are the words she said to General Petraeus after his testimony. She was calling him a liar. All things considered I thought they were an appropriate new campaign slogan.
You don’t have to wait until Christi’s on vacation to visit, lol… Stop by anytime. Both of you.

I think Phil’s right; that’s a double negative. She has nerve, doesn’t she? I think the Petraeus hearing did wonders for showing the Democrat for who they really are.

I don’t know it if classifies as a double negative… actually there aren’t any negatives in it… suspension means a temporary abrogation or cessation, as of a law or rule… meaning she didn’t believe him before he started and she was letting him know that without actually using the word “liar” and thinking many Americans would be too dumb to understand that’s what she meant with those words. Likely, a lot of them don’t.
However, I believe the phrase is more applicable to her, her claims, her campaign, and everything else about her considering the criminal and unethical activities which keep coming back to haunt her.

in other words: Doublespeak. Dems seem to be good at that.

Love the new slogan
Like your blog! Definitely marking it in my favorites!
Found you through Amy’s blog, found through American Taliban blog, found through a photography message board… interesting how fun things just fall into our laps!

Douglas, you’re right about that, although I don’t attribute doublespeak to the Democrats alone. The Republicans do their fair share of it, too. It’s sad, really sad when your choices are bad, worse, or worst. But there’s always hope.
Jen, welcome aboard. Feel free to drop in anytime,
.

Nice picture… I am hoping Hillary will win the Dem nomination because she is their weakest candidate in the general election.

Hi Steph,
I know that this is off topic but I think that you will like this.
I wish that I had your email address so that I could have sent this email that I got from a friend of mine to you, I think that you would have enjoyed it so I will send it to you this way because I know that you will like it.
It is called: Three Things to Ponder
C O W S:
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country.
Maybe we should give each of them a cow.
T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N:
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don’t we just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it has worked for over 200 years, and we’re not using it anymore.
T H E 1 0 C O M M A N D M E N T S:
The real reason that we can’t have the Ten Commandments posted in a courthouse is this: You cannot post “Thou Shalt Not Steal,” “Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery,” and “Thou Shall Not Lie” in a building full of lawyers, judges and politicians…It creates a hostile work environment.
