To borrow from Mark Levin’s pet names…

I wonder how this will affect McLame’s campaign:

The Phoenix-based Mothers Against Illegal Immigrants announced a recall effort against Mr. Kyl and fellow Arizona Republican Sen. John McCain. Even the chairman of the state Republican Party blasted the compromise. (Entire Article)

I know one response to it already which can be found here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6wPV-Av0aw

Oh, it’s not perfect but make me president and I’ll promissssssse…

And Kyl’s response?

”At the fringe, there are some folks who should remember what their mother told them on how to act,” Mr. Kyl told the editorial board of the Arizona Republic.

I note that they gave him the honorary Mr. rather than Senator… speaks volumes to me. Mr. Kyl, perhaps you should rethink that statement. The only thing missing from it is the “toward their betters” at the end. We’re just the fringe, right?

I like McCain on some issues…well, okay, maybe one or two, but he’s just too moderate to win the presidency. I won’t be voting for him because of Immigration in particular.

The part that bugs me is they can say all they want about how they stand on issues but when faced with having to make that stand, they melt like jello in the hot sun. That’s how I see McCain these days. He doesn’t have the courage of his convictions.
